Pints for Prostates!

Petey attended the Pints for Prostates at Gordon Beirsch in 2014. Beer is the Universal language in Men. We need more events like this so members will start talking more!

Senator Portman

While on Capitol Hill we met with Senator Portman. Ray and I shared our Journey with him and the meaning of Petey. Senator Portman shared his experience with this horrible disease.

We also ask Senators and Congress to continue funding for prostate cancer and research.

Special friends

It is an Honor to have met both Jimmy Charles and Johan Schwartz. Thank you both for your voices to help raise awareness for prostate cancer as well. Jimmy wrote a song for prostate cancer called Superman. If you have not heard it you need to listen to it. Last year Johan invited Ray and I out to the track where he was racing. It was my first race and it was exciting.  I hope to return this year at Mid-Ohio Raceway! Thank you Guys for raising awareness for prostate cancer as well! We need all the voices we can get.

Congressmen Renacci

"It was one of the greatest days of my life," Renacci says as the words "Diagnosed Cancer Free: February 6, 2012" flash across the screen. "My doctor pronounced me cancer free. They found my cancer early. And now I get to watch my children grow old. That kind of thing is far more important than politics. That's why I can't believe that Betty Sutton's team is attacking me wrongly on cancer funding. I work every day to make sure anyone who gets cancer can beat it. It's personal."

A Renacci spokesman says the congressman was diagnosed with prostate cancer in late 2006, and had surgery in early 2007. After years of monitoring to make sure the cancer didn't return, he was declared cancer-free this year.

On the Hill

You have to love Petey's determination to raise awareness for prostate cancer on the Hill. Last week he was in Washington, DC speaking with Senator Portman, Senator Brown (Health LA), Congresswoman Beatty (Health LA) and Representative Renacci. Representative Renacci is a 7 year Survivor and shared his Journey with us.
