The Petey collection
These are the newest collection of Petey's. Putting hats on them gives them even more personality since Prostate Cancer does not discriminate!

I still have Petey's without hats also!

Walnuts
Did you know that the prostate is the size of a walnut?
Wow! I did not know that either, so know you know also. How could such a small little gland cause so much trouble!
I have been making them and asking for a $2.00 donation. $1.00 will got to Us TOO International and $1.00 will be put back into the making of more Petey the Prostate Crusader's.
I gave one to the doctor that diagnosed Ray with prostate cancer and he thought that he was the cutest thing and said he will keep him on his desk! My hope is that having a Petey on the desks everywhere people might just get up enough courage to ask WHY?
Us TOO Support Group in Lancaster, Ohio
And now the search was on for a support group to help with some of the questions we had. We looked everywhere in the Columbus area for a support group for us to attend. We would find a group in our area that either did not allow the ladies to attend or was no longer meeting.
But then I said there had to be a group somewhere, I can not be the only wife e out there also dealing with prostate cancer with my husband. So Internet watch out I am on a mission! On August 10, 2009 we attended our first Prostate Cancer Education & Support Network in Lancaster, Ohio and is sponsored by Us TOO international. The meetings are from 7-9pm 2nd Monday of the month. The ladies are WELCOMED with open arms this disease is not only affecting the men.
The group splits up after a break and the ladies go into another room while the men are able to talk more openly and the ladies can also talk about their feelings! On our first night at the meeting I was a basket case and the only thing I could do was cry! But the comfort that I got from the wives that night was so heart felt because they knew what I was going through! They had already been there. As the months have progressed we are not the newbies now and new members are coming to the group. I now am one of the wives that can understand what they are feeling. But I as a wive and a mother of 4 sons can not sit back and watch another family suffer in silence from prostate cancer!
