This one is for a friend of my moms who father has prostate cancer.  The son does construction and also lays bricks,  He gave me the brick that Petey is on so it was only fitting to also put Petey on the brick.

His jeep might be green now but over the winter, he has plans on getting it painted blue.  

Dash For Dads 5K Run/Walk

Ray did his 1st Dash for Dads 5K on Sunday August 29th! He walked it in under an hour. And Petey was there also he did not walk the whole race with him but he did get to go over the fnish line!

Tomorrow is a Communty Healthfeast in Lancaster, Ohio at the Fairfield Christian Church. Our support group that we attend is having a table and you guessed it! Petey the Prostate Crusader will be there so if you have not gotten yours yet come to the Community Healthfest and get your Petey for your desk or to give as a gift! There will aslo be Blue Chocolate Ribbon suckers for Prostate Cancer Awareness!

Earlier this month we went to Wright-Patterson AFB to see Dr. Arzola the doctor that diagnosed Ray's Prostate cancer. He told us his kids are always asking for his Petey that we gave him. He keeps telling them no and he is still sitting on his desk! It is amazing how a little walnut is such a big hit!

One year ago.....

It has been a year now since we found out that Ray has Prostate Cancer! It has been a year of ups and downs, but as you can see Petey is keeping me sane! I was in the kitchen earlier and thinking about an idea for Petey on his tractor. Ans lo and behold and idea was born! I am going to keep you in suspense until I get it done!

Even Petey needs a day to relax at the beach! The blue boat is made from blue chocolate. I need to figure out a way to wrap it better, not a good idea to use shrink wrap. The heat from the hair dryer will melt the chocolate. If you have any ideas let me know!

This is the sample run of Petey the Prostate Crusader!

A year ago I had never payed attention to Prostate Cancer until June 19, 2009! That is the day we found out that Ray has it. Allot of women are afraid to talk about it because it is so personal. But as you can see I am not a silent partner to my husband! This week we will have two dates that are important to us, the 19th for the 1st year with cancer and then on the 20th as that is the anniversary of our 1st date 27 years ago.
