Turn The LeVeque Tower BLUE in September for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month!

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and one of my goals is to have The LeVeque Tower turned BLUE in support of Prostate Cancer Awareness. Every family has been touched by Prostate Cancer either from a Family member, Friend, Co-worker. Sometimes a complete stranger standing in a line somewhere!

1 in 6 Men and 1 in 3 African American Men will receive the devastating news of Prostate Cancer in their life time. Many will lose their battle to early! Over 9,000 Ohio men will be given this horrible diagnosis. My husband at the age of 56 is one of those 9,000! Prostate Cancer is not an Old Man’s disease if it was then there would not be so many men being diagnosed at an early age.
Getting people to talk about Prostate Cancer is Key in winning this battle of this horrible disease. Having The LeVeque Tower showing their support for Prostate Cancer Awareness is so important and getting others to ask a very important question.
Why is The LeVeque Tower BLUE?

    Radiation Oncology

My husband just finished 7 weeks of Radiation Treatments for Prostate Cancer at The Zangmeister Cancer Center. They loved Petey so now they will have their very own!

    People ask why the Walnut?
The prostate is the size of a walnut it is also my way of raising awareness to prostate cancer.

    Committee Meeting for SCR 10

    The Ohio Statehouse

Today we attended the Ohio House of Representative Committee Meeting for SCR 10.
First Petey had to stop at the cafeteria for a French Vanilla Cappuccino. During the Committee Meeting House of Representative Bishoff had two of her Petey's sitting in front of her.
I love seeing Petey being shared by others and to know how my creativity had made such an impact on others!
